Monumentaal koffiehuis uit 1912, jarenlang gesloten en prachtig gerestaureerd. Marmeren vloeren, spiegels, obers in zwarte vesten. Toeristen met camera's naast oude mannen die hun krant openslaan alsof het nog 1952 is. Cortado met bruiswater, boterzachte medialunas.

Argentijnse groep die sinds 2003 immersieve shows maakt met acrobatiek, geluid en licht — geen podium, jij staat middenin. De huidige productie AVEN speelt in Sala SinPiso, waar performers boven, naast en langs je door de ruimte zweven en het waterbassin later boven je hoofd komt hangen.

Tren Mitre — Retiro naar Tigre Tren Mitre — Retiro to Tigre
Elke ~15 minuten vertrekt vanaf Retiro een trein van de Mitre-lijn richting Tigre, de toegangspoort tot de Paraná-delta. Rit duurt 50–70 minuten. Zelfde trein kan vanaf twee platforms vertrekken — even opletten.
A Mitre line train to Tigre, the gateway to the Paraná delta, leaves Retiro roughly every 15 minutes. The ride takes 50–70 minutes. The same train can leave from either of two platforms — worth double-checking.
